LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF 100% NATURAL BATH SALTS

There are few small luxuries in life as comforting and fulfilling as a warm bath. A bath is a chance to relax and unwind from the day, it’s an opportunity to light a few candles, turn the lights down low and feel stress melt away and it’s also a great time to explore the benefits of 100% nature derived bath salts.

As it turns out, not all bath salts are created equal. Many of the conventional bath salts on the market today are chock full of synthetics, including artificial fragrances which have been linked to respiratory issues and other discomforts in the body like headaches. Here at Saje, we believe in the healing power of plants; what that means when it comes to our bath salts is that we use only the cleanest, most sustainable ingredients we can find to formulate our products, which looks something like this:

The epsom salt we use in each of our bath salt soaks is mineral derived from underground salt deposits, which allows us to ensure it is 100% natural; it’s common for epsom salt to be synthesized and not from natural sources. The sea salt we use in each of our bath salt soaks is solar evaporated from the Great Salt Lake in Utah, where the salt once procured is washed to remove impurities and then kiln dried. We add essential oils to the epsom salts, followed by sea salt, baking soda and cornstarch, slowly and carefully mixing the formula as it’s blended. The result is the bath salts our Community has come to know and love today, thoughtfully and intentionally blended to address common ailments like stress, pain and sleep.

BATH SALTS TO HELP YOU RELAX AND FEEL AT PEACE

One of the most popularly cited reasons for taking a bath is to help invite peace, calm and tranquility to both the body and mind. It’s well understood that carving out intentional self care time and treating yourself to a wellness ritual like a bath can help to reduce feelings of tension and restlessness. When you’re looking to feel at ease, consider the following formulas:

Bath salts to help you feel balanced and grounded:

Unwind bath salt soak: similar in formula to our popular diffuser blend of the same name, the Unwind bath salts are well-loved in part because of their deeply harmonizing and calming properties. The spicy-floral aroma of the blend comes to us from sweet, uplifting orange, floral and herbaceous lavender and warming, spicy cinnamon.

BATH SALTS TO HELP SOOTHE AND EASE SORENESS IN THE BODY

Another one of the popular reasons many people choose a bath as part of their daily wellness routines is to help offer soothing relief to aches and pains in the body. Known for their ability to ease soreness, we blend epsom salts alongside essential oils also renowned for their beneficial effects on easing tension, soreness and stiffness.

Bath salts to help in pain relief and management of recovery:

LIFESTYLE TIPS FOR USING BATH SALTS TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL

We want you to love our bath salt soaks and look forward to including them as part of your wellness rituals and routines. To ensure your experience with our bath salts is optimized, here are some of the tips and tricks we like to share with our Community Members before your first bath:

Person soaking with Bath Salts

  1. Less is more. Because our bath salts are saturated with essential oils in a concentration that is both aromatically and therapeutically beneficial, only a small amount is needed to achieve desired results. Always refer to the packaging for specific instructions, but remember to err on the side of caution and start with the lowest amount suggested.
  2. Add your salts last. To ensure that the oils do not dissipate aromatically and that their beneficial properties are not lost, we recommend adding the bath salts once you’ve filled the tub and are ready to climb in.
  3. Close your curtain. So that you’re able to keep the aroma locked in and create a spa-like steam experience, we recommend to close your shower curtain around the bathtub, if possible or at the very least keep your bathroom door closed.
  4. Soak your worries away. To preserve the precious aromas and to ensure you’re receiving the maximum benefit from our bath salts, we recommend staying immersed in the tub for at least 20-30 minutes.
When in doubt, take a bath.
