What is Extra Strength?
Extra Strength was formulated as a stronger option for acute pain to complement our Pain Release line, which was designed for daily aches and pains. This product is the result of years of research and testing, leading us to what we believe is the most efficacious, hardest working, 100% plant based pain product available.
Without any potentially harmful synthetics, Extra Strength is a 100% natural formula that works with the power of plants. Unlike other creams and ointments, Extra Strength is blended in a dreamy, no-mess, extra large roller format for easy, targeted application.
What can I use this for?
Adults can apply this no more than 3-4 times daily for temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with:
- simple back ache
Do not use on wounds or damaged skin.
How is it effective?
Extra Strength was formulated to contain nature’s toughest pain relievers. As such, it contains 2 active ingredients from plants; methyl salicylate and menthol that work together to create a potent, effective, and relief-worthy roll-on.
- Methyl salicylate: This organic plant isolate can be derived from wintergreen and sweet birch. Saje’s methyl salicylate comes from—no surprise here—Sweet Birch Oil (betula lenta) and is similar to the active ingredient in ASA / Aspirin. This deciduous tree is native to the eastern side of North America. Its oil is characterized by a camphorous medicinal smell and is most often used for acute joint and muscular pain. The oil has a long history of use for easing tired, fatigued muscles and helps to restore feelings of comfort and ease to a sore, overworked body. It is a known soothing agent that works by causing the skin to feel both cooling and warming sensations to effectively relieve pain.
- Menthol: We’ve all enjoyed a cup of peppermint tea in support of our digestion, or on the contrary, have indulged in a delicious peppermint patty to satiate our sweet tooth. Did you know that the same widely recognized peppermint plant we find in delicious treats also provides us with an active component called Menthol? This miraculous essential oil provides pain relief and increased blood flow to targeted areas by stimulating the nervous system, creating a warming or cooling sensation on the skin and muscles.
Apart from these active ingredients, Extra Strength Pain Relieving Oil Blend contains a grapeseed carrier oil (vitis vinifera), making it safe for topical applications. Other essential oils we’re proud to include in this blend are the stems, leaves, and flowering stalks of soothing lavender (lavandula angustifolia), the oh-so-calming roman chamomile (anthemis nobilis), woodsy and vibrant sprigs of rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis), crisp and refreshing kunzea (kunzea ambigua), the warming and pungent power of clove bud (eugenia caryophyllata), Cardamom (elettaria cardamomum), and last but not least, the spicy and comforting leaves and flowers of sweet marjoram (marjorana horensis).
Did you know? This product has received a designation in the USA as an OTC (over the counter) natural medicine that can be sold off the shelf without a prescription from a healthcare professional.
