Wellness Guide to San Francisco
@bontraveler’s Jessica Wright shares her top wellness destinations in the Bay Area.
Saje Nation has another new home: we’ve landed in San Francisco!
We’re thrilled to join an ever-growing, innovative city where California’s laid-back cool is infused with progressive Silicon Valley energy. To celebrate our first Bay area store on Fillmore Street, we teamed up with local blogger, photographer and travel guru Jessica Wright (@bontraveler) to create a wellness guide to San Francisco.
Jessica lives by the motto “travel well, travel often,” and has ventured to every corner of the world and back again – but she always comes home to San Francisco.
"San Francisco is somewhere that is near to my heart. It represents a vibrant melting pot of many cultures and walks of life, creating a place that is open to everyone — that's what I love most. I am always excited to return home to San Francisco after each trip as I know there is much to be experienced and always something new to discover."
Read on for spots for that factor into Jessica’s San Francisco-based wellness, and places we’re so pleased to call our new neighbors!

SoulCycle now has locations all over North America, and the location on Union Street is a must-visit for a reliably amazing sweat.

Fuel up
Seed + Salt
Vegan and gluten-free fare with ample NorCal flavor. Seed + Salt remains true to its Northern Californian roots by working with local suppliers to create their unique dishes.
Jane
The place to upgrade your morning routine. Jane on Fillmore thrives in the AM, with fresh pastries made in-house and served alongside high-quality coffee, matcha lattes and custom herbal tea blends.
Blue Barn
Like your typical neighborhood deli... if other delis served make-your-own salad options like marinated artichokes and chipotle-agave dressing, plus burrata grilled cheese sandwiches.
Nourish Cafe
Toast has never been more exciting than it is at this Richmond District café. Their herb ricotta, avocado pesto and vegan “lox” varieties are all serious steps up from your usual breakfast.
Get creative
Academy of Sciences
In the middle of Golden Gate Park, the Academy of Sciences is an aquarium, planetarium and natural history museum under one green, living roof. Guaranteed to inspire curiosity and creativity.
Connect with nature
San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers
Green, lush and fresh all year-round, the Conservatory is a peaceful retreat in the city. The Conservatory aims to “to connect people and plants in a place of exceptional beauty”. Mission accomplished.
Sutro Baths
A piece of SF history meets the city’s natural beauty. Take in a stunning view of the Pacific while walking along the Sutro Baths: the historic remains of a communal swimming facility built in the 1800s.
Presidio (Park Trail)
San Francisco’s greenery is on full display along this tree-lined trail. Walking, running and mellowing out are all encouraged.

Hidden gem
A truly special location, Onsen takes its inspiration from Japanese bathhouses to create an experience unlike any other in the city, complete with a 10-person bath, redwood cedar sauna and a curated dining experience.
We can’t complete this list without mentioning the new Saje location in Pacific Heights, where we’ll be adding even more to the exciting wellness community in San Francisco. Our Grand Opening Party is Thursday, April 20 and all wellness enthusiasts are welcome – enjoy discounts all day and an evening celebration from 5PM onwards.
