Self-care is continuing to have a moment in the sun, and we think this is for a very good reason. It’s irrefutable; self-care is good for you, and dare we say necessary, for your overall physical and mental health and well-being.
There are so many ways we can choose to invest in our self-care; saying ‘no’ when our resources feel depleted, choosing to eat in a way that fuels and replenishes our bodies, prioritizing our relationships with others, and the list goes on. This article is written to share one of our personal favorite ways to invest in yourself which is through the use of good-for-you and good-for-the-planet natural wellness products.

Our skin is our largest organ. It’s also a part of our body that is woefully easy to neglect. With bath salts, body massage oils, lotions and body butters aplenty, here are two of the body care products we reach for most often:
Muscle Melt bath salt soak: soothe, relax and restore the body with these comforting and balancing bath salts that are excellent to support your wellness post-workout or anytime you need a break. We’ve blended naturally sourced sea and epsom salts with nourishing, warming and stimulating essential oils of rosemary, sweet birch and roman chamomile that help the body and the mind to wind right down. A little goes a long way and a few tablespoons is all you need.
Yoga body butter: not only is the scent of this grounding, earthy and herbal blend enough to make our day better just by smelling it, it also feels rich and luxurious when smoothed into the skin. Three different butters, mango seed, cocoa seed and shea help to replenish lost moisture and provide deep hydration while essential oils of patchouli, cedarwood, orange and neroli help to balance and restore the mind. After we’ve taken care of the skin on our body, let’s make sure to treat the skin on our face. Many times, we’re tempted to push off self-care or commit to a schedule that feels overwhelming because we’re holding a mistaken belief that self-care is selfish or self-indulgent, which could not be further from the truth. Engaging in a self-care routine has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress and more. Not only is it not selfish, it’s selfless! There are of course many benefits to enjoying a healthy and sustainable relationship with yourself, but many self-care activities can be a social outing if you choose! Self-care can certainly be done with other people and may be just what you need at that moment to help you feel revived.
