Lauren Scruggs Kennedy

Fashion journalist, blogger and bestselling author

One of the best things I’ve done is allow my friends and family to care for me.

Lauren was born in Redondo Beach and raised in Dallas, and describes herself as a California girl whose roots are deep in the heart of Texas. Her love for fashion has been tightly sewn through interning in wardrobe for the CW’s Gossip Girl, the Michael Kors showroom in New York City, and reporting for New York, Paris, and Montreal Fashion Weeks.

Her first book called Still LOLO was published in 2012, and her second book, Your Beautiful Heart, was released in March of 2015. She and Bethany Hamilton also started a yearly retreat for girls who have lost a limb to create a community and encourage one another on their journeys. She recently launched the Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation, which exists to bring hope, restore dignity, and ignite faith in girls and women with limb loss by providing beautiful cosmetic coverings for prostheses. She also launched Stranded, a loose powder dry shampoo for all hair types, as well as a lifestyle blog with a heavy focus on wellness, LSK.

In January 2019, she will be launching The Clean Sweep; a three month subscription program on how to practically clean up your life, diving deeply into food, products, and practices. It is a very personal compilation of her personal wellness journey backed by sourcing, filled with encouragement, grocery lists, recipes, the ins and outs of celery juice, a shop of all the products and books she recommends, exclusive interviews with professionals in their fields, three key supplements, and so much more.
