Introducing Our Goddess Natural Deodorant Spray
You’ve known and loved our crystal fresh deodorant sprays here at Saje for many years, and really, what’s not to love? You know that all of our products are 100% natural and are formulated without synthetic ingredients like parabens, SLS/SLES, phthalates, artificial fragrances and a whole lot more, which is why we are so excited to introduce you to the newest product in our natural deodorant category, Goddess Natural Deodorant Spray.
Goddess is a well-loved line of products that were created to help you connect to your inner goddess - the parts of you that want to tap into self-connection, self-kindness and self-compassion. This line of products is blended with a whole host of precious floral essential oils, known in aromatherapy to be very balancing and harmonizing to both the body and mind, like sweet rose, the queen of all flowers, musky and rich ylang ylang, citrusy neroli and soothing geranium. We wanted to add this fresh and floral scent to our collection of natural deodorants in part because of how good it smells and in part because of how effective it is at neutralizing odor and helping you feel clean and deodorized throughout the day.
Not all natural deodorants are created equal, and when we sat down to create this formulation we considered what was most important to us. We already know that our commitment to natural is a cut above the rest, but we also wanted to consider what our Community has spoken about as being important to them; natural deodorants that are effective at controlling odor and minimizing wetness that are also formulated without known potential irritants in natural deodorant like baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, dyes and fragrances and surfactants or emulsifiers commonly added to the formulas, to name a few.
Our deodorants are also free of aluminum chlorohydrate and aluminum zirconium and instead are made from a base of mineral salts that form naturally after volcanic eruptions and are a naturally occurring mineral from the earth. Because of this, they may contain trace amounts of aluminum element - the good news is that the salt molecule is too large to be absorbed into the body and as such it sits on the surface of the skin doing what it does best - create a natural barrier protectant on the skin against the formation of bacteria that causes odor.
While we’re on the topic, let’s debunk the idea that mineral salts, also called potassium alum, are the same ingredient as aluminum more commonly found in antiperspirants. Potassium alum is a naturally occurring mineral salt from the earth, as mentioned above. It is not absorbed by the skin, but rather sits on the surface to form a barrier protectant. Aluminum compounds in antiperspirants are used in part because they are absorbed and can cover or coat the sweat ducts in order to reduce sweat production. Some forms of synthetic aluminum, such as aluminum chlorohydrate and aluminum zirconium, are what are commonly used in antiperspirant deodorants. Natural deodorant for everyone: Peaceful Warrior
Though all of the products we offer at Saje are designed to be gender inclusive and neutral, Peaceful Warrior has long been loved by all for its rich, earthy, herbaceous and soothing aroma. This award-winning natural deodorant has been formulated with more robust smelling essential oils like patchouli, vetiver, fennel and sandalwood alongside the lighter and softer essential oils of lavender, ho wood, palmarosa and lime for a scent experience that truly helps to keep you grounded and at peace while also feeling fresh and odor-free.
Natural deodorant for everyone: Exotic
The third scent in our line of crystal fresh spray natural deodorants is another long-standing fan-favorite called Exotic. As the name suggests, this tropically-inspired sweet and earthy blend was formulated with balancing and odor-neutralizing essential oils that help you stay fresh smelling and fresh feeling all day long. Sweet balsam peru meets delicately floral notes of lavender, ho wood and palmarosa, rounded out by the grounding, deep base notes of sandalwood, patchouli and ylang ylang.
For all three of these natural deodorant scents, we recommend 2-3 mists under each arm, or more if desired. Our formula absorbs easily and begins working instantly - it isn’t sticky, it won’t stain or leave residue on your clothing and most importantly, it won’t clog your pores.

Lifestyle tips for incorporating natural deodorant into your daily routine
When making the switch to natural deodorant there are a few things you will want to keep in mind, the first being to have patience. In the same way our bodies take time to acclimate to a new way of eating or a new sleeping schedule, switching from synthetic to natural deodorant requires the same type of patience and consistency. Here are some of our top tips:
- It takes time. It can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for the average person’s body to adjust to natural deodorant, and the natural detoxification process that comes with it. The good news is that sweat itself is not what smells bad, it’s the bacteria that surrounds the sweat which causes the odor, which begins to minimize as the body naturally adapts (especially if you’ve been using a pore-clogging antiperspirant made with aluminum to stop you from releasing sweat naturally).
- Expect to sweat. It’s natural for our bodies to release toxins from the body through many different ways, one of which is sweating. The switch to natural does not prevent some level of wetness - the only thing that can do that is aluminum. Fear not, when the body adjusts, regulates and finds balance, you’ll notice a decrease in the wetness level and most importantly, you’ll know your body’s natural detoxification process is working as intended.
- Stick it out. Those first few weeks might be smellier than you expected but we promise it’s worth the transition. Knowing that you’re not trapping potentially harmful toxins and bacteria in your body with antiperspirants is the reward for allowing your body to do what it does best, naturally.
