In today’s market, there is no single license, certification, or definition of what it truly means to be a natural product. That’s why we’ve taken it upon ourselves to create the Saje Natural Standard as a way to define our own commitment to 100% natural. This code of conduct holds us accountable to the highest standard of natural excellence and ensures every ingredient we use is vetted against our SNS prior to formulation.
A small part of what’s included as part of our commitment to 100% natural? Every single ingredient must be derived from natural sources – with no exception. We don’t formulate products that are made with ingredients derived from threatened or endangered species. Our finished products are made with essential oils that are verified for purity by independent certified laboratories. We invest in ingredients that are reliably sourced, properly documented, and laboratory-verified for safety.
It’s safe to say our Saje Natural Standard is meant to be diligent and comprehensive and extends outside of our ingredients to include our manufacturing process, our partners, the materials we use in our packaging and so much more.
Our commitment to cruelty-free as certified by Leaping Bunny
As such, we are thrilled to share that Saje has joined more than 2300 brands in North America who have made the commitment to cruelty-free by officially joining the Leaping Bunny certification program. Leaping Bunny is a globally recognized organization that is proud to proclaim loud and clear the commitment they uphold to ensure brands are transparent in offering products and ingredients that are free from animal testing and animal cruelty. “Since 1996, the Leaping Bunny Program, operated by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics in the US and Canada, has been connecting compassionate consumers to cruelty-free companies under its Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals. Companies must pledge to end animal testing at all stages of product development in addition to recommitting to the program annually and being open to third party audits.”

What does it mean that Saje is Leaping Bunny Certified
It means that we have applied for and met the rigorous burden of proof required by the Leaping Bunny Certification to obtain status officially on the list of approved brands. Companies must comply with an extensive criteria in order to be added to the list of brands included in the Compassionate Shopping Guide, and it means that Leaping Bunny recognizes our commitment to upholding these standards as well, continuing to offer cruelty-free wellness products that have never been tested on animals.
Is Saje skincare cruelty-free and vegan?
Yes, all of our skincare products are cruelty-free, as part of our commitment to being a brand that is free from any forms of animal testing, including purchasing ingredients or products from any third party manufacturer or supplier that conducted, commissioned, or had been party to animal testing on said ingredient or formulation, as per Leaping Bunny criteria. All of our skincare products are vegan with the exception of any product that contains beeswax, which is limited to our Lip Balms, Arnica Balm and our Strong Balm lash and nail salve.
